Advertiser & Sponsorship Policy
This policy explains who may advertise or sponsor on Student Pathfinder, how sponsored content is labelled, and the limits we place on advertising so it cannot distort the guidance students receive.
Who can advertise
Advertising and sponsorship are open to accredited institutions, registered scholarship providers, tutoring and education services, and other organisations relevant to students, subject to review. We may decline or remove any advertiser or creative that is misleading, discriminatory, unsafe for minors, or contrary to the laws of the countries we serve.
Sponsored content is labelled
Any paid placement, sponsorship or promoted listing is clearly labelled as such. Editorial and guidance content is kept distinct from advertising and is never written to disguise a commercial arrangement.
Advertising never changes matching
How a student's opportunities are matched, scored or ranked is determined only by the student's results and the providers' stated eligibility rules. Paying for advertising or sponsorship does not raise a listing's position in a student's matches or affect eligibility.
Accurate claims
Advertisers must be able to substantiate the claims they make, including fees, outcomes and accreditation, and must comply with advertising and consumer-protection rules in the relevant SADC market. We may request evidence during review.
Data and targeting
Advertising must not rely on, or be targeted using, a student's personal data or academic results. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for how we handle data.
