Entry requirements

This is a degree. It is entered after A-Level, so O-Level results alone are not enough.

As the institution publishes it

Good 'O' Level passes (Grade B or better) in Mathematics and Science AND at least 2 'A' Level passes in Mathematics or Economics/Business Studies and one subject from Accounts, Biology, Geography, Chemistry, Physics and Agriculture/Crop Science/Animal Science; OR a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognised agricultural college.

Pathfinder cannot check this against your results automatically, so read it carefully or ask the admissions office.

About this programme

Built for people who want to run, finance or improve the businesses that sit between a farmer's field and the consumer's plate. The programme treats agriculture as a chain of linked activities (input supply, production, aggregation, processing, storage, transport and retail) and teaches you to find where value is created or lost along that chain. You learn to read markets and prices, design contract-farming and out-grower arrangements, and connect smallholders to formal buyers and export markets.

What you will study

Agribusiness management; agricultural marketing and pricing; value-chain analysis; agri-finance; cooperatives and contract farming; trade, standards and export logistics; research methods and a final-year project.

Further study and pathways

MSc in agricultural economics, marketing or agribusiness; MBA; professional work with commodity exchanges, development finance and procurement bodies.
