V-Vet helps smallholder farmers in Zimbabwe manage their livestock through WhatsApp. Farmers can describe an animal's symptoms in their own words, using text or voice notes in Shona, Ndebele or English. V-Vet asks relevant follow-up questions, assesses the urgency of reported symptoms and helps connect farmers with veterinary support when needed, providing access to the animal's recorded history. Beyond health support, V-Vet helps farmers manage their herds more effectively through reminders for routine animal care, including vaccination, dipping, deworming and weaning. It also supports breeding and calving management using each farmer's livestock records.
